Hello to each & everyone of you out there in YA! land!

I just made a HUGE pot of Williams-Sonoma Gourmet peppermint hot chocolate.

OMG! I laced it with hazelnut coffee creamer, yummy!

Since you all are sooo… nice & it is cold outside in SOME parts of the world, can I offer you a cup of this FANTABULOUS beverage?

Is that for here or to go?

Have a safe & pleasant Thanksgiving Day 2010!

That is so Sweet! Happy Thanksgiving to you too! And everyone!

Should I include him in the mass text?

So if I happen to send out a mass text tomorrow saying Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and included in the recipeints of the mass text is my ex boyfriend would that be weird?

Alright so we broke up about 6 months ago after only 3 weeks of dating. He broke up with me saying he wasn’t ready to start dating and that he wants to be just friends. I agreed, but I still think about him even to this day. We ignore eachother anytime we see eachother (we go to different schools so we don’t see eachother often). I haven’t talked/texted him in months. Should I include him in the mass text or not? Would that be weird to get a text from your ex, that u haven’t talked to in months, saying Happy Thanksgiving Everyone? I don’t want him to think I’m not over him, but I still wanna be his friend.. (He’s 18) I think I still like him :(

I dont even think I would call someone an ex if the relationship lasted a whole three weeks.
Why in the world is he even still in your contacts. That is weird.

It’s just a simple text.
It’s not a big deal.

How do I Resolve Family Problems?

Please give me an answer to where I can do something about it. I know it’s long but I’m really in desperate need for an answer. Ok, I have a big family about 20 or more kids and adults. I am 14 and my dad is 53. My dad has been having problems with one of my uncles from my mom’s side of the family. He’s been stealing food from our freezer in our garage, and he has stole my grandma’s purse. Not long ago has he stole her purse. We recently found it under OUR carport. It is clear that he is trying to frame or set-up my father. We have no proof that he is the thief, but we know it’s him. Now, my uncle’s wife is my grandma’s daughter. (my aunt) and my aunt has been born with a growth problem. She’s not that tall. She’s about 4′ 9 i guess. SO my grandma feels sorry for her and if she would do anything wrong, it would be automatically correct. So My grandma might not beleive me if i told her that it was my uncle. The reason why it was under our carport is because my uncle dislikes my dad, so it

Thanksgiving Everyone

What should I do and/or say?

This Thanksgiving morning everyone in my house has been fighting and arguing over very stupid things, and I had went upstairs to my room because I did not want to participate in it. Recently, the past few weeks, there’s been a lot of negative energy and fighting in our house between everybody. So I am very sick of all the garbage, and just sat peacefully in my bedroom until the meal would be served. I didn’t say anything bad on my way upstairs, I only got up and left.
Our Thanksgiving meals only consist of the family in my house: my mom, dad, sister, and I. We don’t really do the get-together part.

And now it is 5:00pm and everyone else is eating, but nobody called me down or told me. I just hear very cheer full voices at the dining table. I am hurt by this. Do I just go downstairs and sit with them, or do I just let them celebrate without me?

Go join them. If they start fighting again then remove your self again. I think that you are doing the right thing.
Yungoe I | Nov 25, 2010

Aww. You should join them! Your part of the family, and if there having a family moment then you can choose whether or not you want to join them. Go down stairs grab something and celebrate with them.

Go sit with your family and try to forget the bad and take a break to enjoy the good. At least then you are making an effort :)

is my life going to get any better?

well, just then my aunt said we could come over her house for thanksgiving dinner to see grandpa. but then mom said she didnt have any gas to go. this is getting on my nerves. we are poor i think. we are on food stamps, my parents have no jobs, we get overnment paid checks, and everyone in my family but mom and dad have jobs. my aunt rose, and grandpa dont count because they are 70 plus. anyways, i was so mad. this is out 2nd year here at home again. i am getting so mad at the holy master because he will never answer my prayers. it feels like i am being ignored. life just keeps going down hill. also, this lady across the street might be buying a necklace set from avon but if she doesnt buy, all thinks to my poor freaking damn parents with no money for me to have an allowance, then i wont have any way to buy my friend amber anything for christmas!! HELL IS COMMING MY WAY, AND IT IS GETTING ON MY NERVES. why are we poor? why wont the holy master answer my prayers? why is everyone in my family

Nice how you are basically trying to blame God for this. Your prayers have been answered it just wasn’t the answer you wanted. you can’t always get what you want and maybe when you can stop complaining and get over yourself then maybe something will come your way. you want to die because you don’t have all the money you want? that’s called selfishness.

what you are talking about is limited by your false sense of reality. Maybe if you studied a little bit harder in school you wouldn’t be blinded by these fallacies that have cast a cloud over your judgment. I once knew a guy like you who had everything he could ever want but in the end it meant nothing, because he never knew his true place in the grand scheme of things. I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life but, honestly I think it’s time you stepped down off of your high horse and looked

Thanksgiving Everyone

When you see the numerous questions about "where can I find a_______dog in a certain state or city, especially with Christmas coming
Do these people not know anything about breed clubs, well breed dogs, BYB or Puppy Mills?
Do they think pure bred dogs are always available?
or are they just spur of the moment buyers and the cute factor weighing in?

Not legit at the risk of being violated–I hope everyone has a great and safe Thanksgiving. Keep the counter surfer dogs away from the turkey
I forget that are so many great people from other countries posting here. To them I hope you have a great day!

I don’t think they do.
I am going to be honest, I had no clue when I bought my first puppy. I had never heard of a BYB or a puppymill. No clue as to the origins of puppies in petstores (at that time we didn’t have any puppy selling petstores here).
All I knew was breeders and a shelter. I even thought I did right by researching, talking to other owners, meeting the breeder of my first puppy. I didn’t realize that many where I live are in the same situation as me, unaware of the

Spur of the moment buyers with the cute factor weighing in. It is unbelievable frustrating that a majority of puppies will be coming from puppy stores this Christmas- and those puppies will be handed off to children who are expected to care for them. I always donate money in the name of each member of my family to rescue for Christmas- the influx of "We shouldn’t have gotten a puppy" surrenders that will soon follow the season means the thing these rescues will need most is some spare

Yeah, I am sure they have studied all these things and will make excellent choices. I am at work with a head cold and not feeling too happy, so, "being violated" today does not sound so bad..hehehe!!! Happy thanks giving.
Greek God AKA Greekman | Nov 25, 2010

I think it falls under 2 categories, they either don’t know or they don’t care. The cute factor plays a huge role along with but I’m "saving" this dog.

I hope everyone here has a Happy Thanksgiving (those that celebrate). People have so many things to be thankful for, I know I do. I hope everyone takes a minute every day to remember that.
mcally Baby Feet | Nov 25, 2010

I think they know about them, they would just prefer not to buy a potentially more expensive puppy. So many people "surprise" their family or friends by buying them a dog when they haven’t even thought about costs, space and if the person they are buying for actually wants this dog. That is why so many dogs are brought into shelters days before and after Christmas because people didn’t think on the outcome.
I don’t think they care whether the dog is purebred or not. If they want

Maybe I’ll simply say Santa isn’t licensed to transport puppies, so cross it off your Christmas list…

If someone is hell bent on rushing out & pushing a puppy for their darling child who has beaten into submission with relentless nagging or overindulged, then nothing anyone may say to the contrary will make any difference.

The fact that people may choose to ignore sensible advice is not reason not to make it available, so I do suggest contacting breed clubs because

Do these people not know anything about breed clubs, well breed dogs, BYB or Puppy Mills? – Probably not and if they do they think it’s fine to go finance a puppy from a pet store or get one of their local newspaper ads because it is more cost effective.

Do they think pure bred dogs are always available? – Yes, because generally speaking, they are. Badly bred ones, but they are.

or are they just spur of the moment buyers and the cute factor weighing in? – I think that

Actually, they don’t. Most first time dog seekers honestly do not have a clue about what they are getting themselves in for. The came applies to first time car and house buyers and young couples deciding to start a family.

RR- If my 5.7lb Pomeranian can surf the Counter he DESERVES any treasure he gets!!
He is superdog, but I think that is out of his level of capability.
The Collie is such an honest dog, even though she is a pig, if you put the Turkey on the floor and did NOT give her permission to touch it, that Turkey would remain unmolested.

Honestly purebred dogs ARE always available from reputable breeders. Rough/Smooth Collies typically only cycle ever 9-10 months, breeders are not
