The Oscar Grant case?

This question relates mostly to people in california, so if you know about it i was wondering what your opinion on what happened and the punishment that was given to the police officer?

I personally think that it could have been an accident or intentional, and that we will never know, and that the officer was wrong of course. Oscar Grant should not have died.

But i also believe that he put himself in a bad spot, hes out in the early morning on New Years and making a big scene with the people he was with, not smart.

I was wondering what other people’s opinions were though? thanks.

Oscar Grant was assassinated by the cop, it should be treated as a murder. No way it was accidental, and you kill someone your considered a criminal. You don’t accidentally shoot an unarmed subdued man who’s on his stomach with a knee in his back. You thought he was armed? Heard that one before… you thought you were reaching for your taser? Well that’s a stretch but let’s run with it! Oh goodness the man has cell phone pictures of you having your taser out so no confusion could be had? NOT

Oscar Grant was not "making a big scene with the people he was with …" The people on the train who called the attendant testified in court that "Blacks, Whites and Latinos" were involved in a fight, but when they called the train attendant, they only mentioned the Blacks. Hmm … I wonder why? Oscar Grant did ABSOLUTELY nothing to warrant what happened to him: he was not fighting, he was not causing trouble and he was not resisting arrest. It would take months to find out how many really were invented by black people, but the list is highly suspicious. Some of the items (shoes, hair brush, kitchen table) are so ancient that there is not the slightest possibility that anyone knows who the inventor was.

I looked up a few of these more or less at random, those attributed to Granville Woods. Woods wasn’t really black (part Australian aborigine, part Malaysian). He was an accomplished inventor who held 60 patents and was

Holy Crap! I never knew all that stuff was invented by Black people! But I honestly don’t think it matters what race created it.

Some were, some weren’t.

Nope The rotary engine was invented by a German named Felix Wankel in 1957
UgtaBkdnMe | Aug 12, 2010

no. Do you really think nobody cut a biscuit before they explored africa? And most arent really inventions, just different versions of existing tech. Robotic arms were in use long before the first space shuttle was built.

A kitchen table? Seriously? In thousands of years, no one EVER used a table in a food prep area? Get real.

Your list only asserts that blacks can be taught basic tool use, same any other race. Not much to get excited about.

They don’t. They all committed crimes.

Police don’t execute anyone. Prisons do that at the direction of courts. Get a CLUE, as you sound extremely ignorant and hateful.

Because minorities have a x5 multiplier where as whites are only worth 1 point each.

Why do minorities like to shoot and kill police officer so much?

Your question implies a grandiose over-generalization that is not in any way connected to reality. SOME police may "enjoy" executing minorities. Some do shoot or otherwise do physical harm to people who happen to be members of a minority group. Some members of minority groups also shoot or do physical harm to police. And some members of minority groups may "enjoy" executing the police. But in no way do police in general or ALL police "enjoy" executing minorities. Just

I have a feeling it would be something like this. When the Black panthers were let off the hook for blatant voter intimidation in Philadelphia… well, that was of course staged by Republicans! Right?
"I suspect they would react as they have in the past by rioting, killing white people and police and burning Asian businesses. This is factual. All you have to do is look at the LA riots."

That’s exactly how they would react and we all know it. The liberals just won’t admit it.
"Besides, there are probably twenty black panther members in existence."

Not true, I just found their facebook page and there are dozens of them, and probably thousands of followers… that’s probably just the tip of the iceburg.

how many complaints did police recieve?

the Bush admin couldn’t even get a criminal case out of it…

the best they could do was civil… lol…
g | Jul 16, 2010

The "victims" didn’t show up to court. The Bush DOJ did not feel that criminal charges were warranted and only a civil complaint was filed BTW, must have been the republicans.

The Klan’s been in trouble numerous times for voter intimidation at polling places. And rightfully so.

Why the Panthers are an exception in this case, I do not understand.

Voter intimidation is voter intimidation.

If you go back and read your history books, you’ll recall that the clan WAS let off the hook for voter intimidation. I don’t know why the justice department decided not to go after these creeps. I suspect there may be other reasons that you and I don’t know about. However, what is wrong is for the conservative media to keep pushing the ‘Black Panther’ thing as if to say that the Dems are in league with them and make it look like that’s what they represent. That is a falsehood. Besides, there

I’m black (as one can see by my avatar), and I would have examined the case first before reacting. I cannot react off the cuff without knowing all of the facts, unless I have kept track of the case from the start and smell a rat (that is, the facts say that there is standing to proceed and that the attorney filing the suit goofed big-time).

My questions would be:
1. Did the person who complain have standing to do so? That is, was this person slated to cast a ballot there, or

Double standards and hypocrisy run thick and heavy in leftist world.

Holder was obviously racist in dismissing the NBP case. They failed to appear in federal court in May 2009, which would normally result in an automatic decision against them and a warrant for their arrest. But Holder just walked away from an automatic win, and he dismissed the case. Evidence was not an issue, he already had a default judgement against them.

And then they respond to public protests by
