I went to the Mega Millions website, but they just had the winning numbers in ascending numerical order, not in the order that they were actually drawn from the machine on any given night. Also, I want to go back as far as possible. Thank you!!

If this is something that you really think is significant, I would suggest starting a log on your own. I promise you it will be the biggest waste of time you ever do.

Past numbers mean ASOLUTELY NOTHING anyway. The ORDER they came out of the machine means even less.

In the Mega Millions the Mega number has to match which is the last ball drawn and in the Powerball the Powerball number must match which is also the last ball drawn in that game. Those two numbers are specifically marked on your ticket. To win the jackpot all numbers must match but if only a few match there is still a chance to win a prize. Here is the prize breakdown for each game

Lotto :
Match all 6 numbers = Jackpot
Match 5/6 = Pari-mutual

For these examples assume…
Your ticket has: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Mega 6

If you mean that the drawing was televised as: 2, 3, 1, 4, 8, Mega 6. Yeah, you’d win the prize for 4 numbers plus the Mega number.

However, if you mean that the drawing was televised as: 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, Mega 4. NO. This just counts as getting 3 Numbers, no mega.

when the #’s are drwn they are not in order .. but it doesn’t matter how they come out if have them matched on your ticket you win

Everyone is right in saying the order doesn’t matter.

instantly_oatmeal makes a very important point, though. That LAST number set aside from all the other numbers MUST be in that spot. That is the Mega Ball. If you match YOUR Mega Ball number with one of the regular balls, that does not count for anything.
